We are seeking an experienced RF Manager to lead and grow the RF & Microwave Design team responsible for developing and manufacturing complex RF subsystems and systems for strategic electronics applications.

This role combines strong technical leadership with hands-on engineering expertise. You will drive system-level architecture, oversee detailed RF design and integration, ensure timely project delivery, and build a high-performing engineering team focused on innovation, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & System Architecture

- Lead conceptualization and architecture development of radar and RF systems
- Perform RF chain budgeting, system-level simulations, and trade studies
- Oversee detailed design and engineering of RF subsystems and electronic assemblies
- Develop electrical schematics, general assembly drawings, connection diagrams, and test instructions
- Select appropriate electronic components and interconnects for ground-based, airborne, shipboard, and space radar applications

Design & Development

- Drive design and development of high-power, high-frequency SSPA systems (>1 kW, up to Ka Band)
- Lead development of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
- Oversee antenna design, development, and testing
- Manage phased array (AESA) systems, including mechanically and electronically steerable arrays up to Ka Band
- Utilize EM simulation tools such as ADS, HFSS, and CST for modeling and performance optimization
- Perform modeling, simulation, and analytical studies to predict and optimize component and system performance

Integration, Testing & Validation

- Supervise unit and subsystem-level testing, assembly, integration, and system validation
- Support testing and validation trials at customer premises
- Ensure compliance with Space and MIL standards




- Address EMI/EMC considerations and apply RF measurement techniques effectively

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with RF, Digital, Power, Mechanical, PCB Layout, Control Systems, and Software teams
- Engage with customers for technical clarifications, reviews, and approvals
- Prepare end-to-end technical proposals aligned with customer requirements

Team Management & Process Excellence

- Lead and mentor the RF & Microwave design team to ensure effective resource utilization
- Train team members in product development processes and reliability analyses such as Derating, Reliability Studies, DFMEA, FMECA, FTA, WCA, Theta-JC, etc.
- Ensure timely project delivery through proactive risk identification and mitigation
- Drive productivity improvements and adoption of cutting-edge technologies
- Promote intellectual property creation, including patents and technical publications

Cost & Commercial Awareness

- Develop cost-effective product design solutions
- Support revenue growth by industrializing RF/microwave subsystems in collaboration with operations

Required Experience & Qualifications

- 15+ years of experience in design, development, integration, and testing of radar systems, preferably in defense, aerospace, or space sectors
- Strong expertise in RF, Microwave Engineering, and Applied Electromagnetics
- Deep understanding of RF theory and current production/process technologies
- Hands-on experience in circuit design, simulation, testing, and debugging
- Proficiency in RF modeling, simulation tools, and high-frequency system design up to Ka Band
- Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and RF measurement techniques
- Experience working with Space and MIL standards

Educational Background

- BE/B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Additional certifications or advanced qualifications in RF Design are an advantage
