- Develop and manage procurement plans aligned with site project timelines and operational needs.
- Source, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers and vendors based on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions to ensure cost efficiency and value for money.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and follow up on outstanding items to ensure on -time receipt.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, vendor databases, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with site managers, project supervisors, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements.
- Monitor market trends and supply availability to anticipate potential disruptions and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and manage supplier relationships to drive continuous improvement.
- Support inventory management by providing timely procurement inputs and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain administration, preferably in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in managing site -level procurement activities and working within a project -based environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across departments.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- In -depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast -paced setting.
- Local knowledge of Vadodara and surrounding regions with established vendor networks is highly advantageous.
- Experience with local vendor regulations, GST compliance, and documentation requirements in India.
