As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the foundation of this browser, enhancing both security and productivity through advanced engineering and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, modify, and extend the Chromium engine to support new, creative features.
- Apply advanced data structures and algorithms in C++ to optimize performance and scalability.
- Research and implement optimization algorithms to improve system speed and reliability.
- Deliver efficient, elegant solutions to complex technical challenges.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of hands-on experience working in Chromium environments.
- Strong C++ design and implementation expertise,
with a focus on large-scale system architecture.
- Excellent skills in debugging, memory profiling, and performance optimization.
- Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming and synchronization techniques.
- Proven knowledge of memory management and runtime efficiency.
- Experience developing complex, modular products with multiple integrated components.
- Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) principles.
- Prior experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams, fostering technical and professional growth.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong focus on delivering value to users and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
