Job Description

• Use your deep technical understanding to contribute to the architectural design for the product.

• Contributing to defining the product roadmap and supporting end-to-end delivery of product releases & communication with different stakeholders

• Build software products for banking and financing institutions with R&D; teams that are openly collaborative, are non-hierarchical, respect contributions and work with agility

• Enable, empower, and encourage teams for continuous improvement of technology and processes

• Challenging and supporting people and engineering practices to improve the quality of product

• Supporting governance of product team to ensure quality and efficiency of solutions

• Act as a mentor to the team and reinforce

Total Experience Expected: 08-11 years

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 02-04 years of experience in payments, banking, or fintech is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong proficiency in Cobol programming (6-8 years), Microfocus Cobol knowledge is preferred

• Good proficiency in Java programming language (2-4 years), including experience with Java 8 or higher

• Knowledge of software best practices

Experience with Unix/Linux,



Shell Scripting is preferred

• Experience with databases, including knowledge of SQL and JavaScript

• . Profound knowledge of the following development languages and technologies – Java, JBoss, JSF, Maven, Spring, Hibernate, SOAP/REST

Minimum Qualifications:

• Excellent data structures & algorithms skills with exposure to digital transformation and digital technologies

• Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate, build relationships, and support in achieving broader organizational goals.

• Good exposure to working with large enterprise-grade components

• Good experience and understanding of working in an agile environment

• Self-starter who can take initiative and get things done with minimal guidance.

• Prior experience in the Banking or finance domain is a plus but not necessary

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor's or higher engineering degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent additional professional experience.

• The candidate should possess very positive experience as a Mainframe developer and Individual Contributor.

• It is essential to understand that the analyst is flexible and willing to learn the domain and tech stack in addition to Oracle/Cobol to build a broad support skill set.

• Ability to prepare technical design from functional specifications

• Ability to perform thorough impact analysis for the functional/technical design

• Strong development experience involved in COBOL, DB2, VSAM, as primary skills and good experience on Java8 or higher etc.

• Involved in Integration /system testing, UAT support, production implementation

• Experienced in performing code review; Responsible for mentoring their team.
