The Planning Engineer – Marine will be responsible for preparing, updating, and monitoring project schedules and progress data to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of time, cost, and productivity for marine construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Break down master schedules into activity-wise and resource-wise execution plans.
- Support finalization of baseline schedules in coordination with project teams.
Project Monitoring & Control
- Collect and consolidate weekly progress updates from project sites.
- Update schedules regularly and generate variance and delay analysis reports.
- Monitor critical paths, key milestones, and potential schedule slippages.
Cost & Quantity Tracking
- Track BOQ quantities against actual execution and consumption.
- Assist in project cost monitoring, forecasting, and budget control activities.
- Support analysis of budgeted versus actual costs in coordination with commercial teams.
Reporting & Dashboards
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal reviews.
- Develop S-curves, bar charts, productivity reports, and schedule dashboards.
- Assist the Head – Planning in preparing management and review presentations.
Cross-functional Coordination
- Coordinate closely with site engineers, billing, and finance teams to gather accurate data.
- Validate site-reported progress and quantities to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
