· Demonstrable
experience of delivering Database operation teams/projects, with specific
knowledge of service transition and supportability of solution in a Production
setting of Oracle DB and MySQL, SQL Server administration understanding

· Demonstrable
experience managing technical teams

· Understanding of
Operational Acceptance, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability (HA) in a
Production environment.

· Understanding of
Change Management, Incident Management and Release and Configuration management
processes.

· Infrastructure
services delivery using offshore/onshore capabilities; an understanding of the
complexities of working with teams.

· Ensures
availability,



security and integrity of assigned databases.

· Resolves database
performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues.

· Install, patch and
maintain all Oracle software. Installs and configures database management
software (DBMS) including RAC and Data Guard and applicable service packs
and/or patches.

· Develops and
implements database maintenance plans, including performing integrity checks,
updating statistics and monitoring security and hardware resource utilization.
