We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead complex, multi-sector engineering initiatives across the electrical and automotive domains. This is a senior leadership role that combines deep technical expertise with strong people and stakeholder management. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate client intent into optimized, production-ready engineering solutions, while building scalable processes and high-performing teams. The role is long-term in nature and offers the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, delivery excellence, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end engineering execution for new product development (NPD) and production across electrical and automotive projects
- Apply global engineering practices and standards to ensure quality, safety, and compliance
- Drive hands-on problem-solving in tooling, process optimization, quality improvement, and production troubleshooting
- Oversee basic R&D; activities and reverse engineering initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturability
- Review, create, and validate 2D/3D designs and manufacturing drawings using CAD tools, including GD&T;
- Ensure adherence to tolerances, ISO standards, and material and process specifications
- Collaborate closely with vendors, manufacturing partners, and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Lead daily planning, tracking,
and reporting of engineering activities to senior management
- Build and maintain strong technical documentation such as SOPs, FMEA, PPAP, CAPA, and RCA
- Support techno-commercial discussions, contracts, and NDAs in coordination with business teams
- Participate in customer interactions, technical presentations, and proposal discussions
- Contribute to brand-building activities including trade shows, technical marketing, and digital initiatives
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Strong foundation in manufacturing engineering with hands-on exposure to machining, sheet metal, forging, casting, and welding
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges across NPD and production environments
- Proficiency in CAD tools and strong understanding of design-for-manufacturing principles
- Experience applying reverse engineering techniques to improve or replicate existing products
- Excellent analytical skills with comfort using Excel and data-driven approaches for engineering calculations
- Tech-savvy leader with the ability to coordinate across engineering teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing junior engineers
- Clear and confident communicator with strong technical writing and client-facing skills
- Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with strategic planning and leadership responsibilities
- Comfortable working in dynamic, multi-project environments with a strong ownership mindset
