The Manager – SCM is responsible for end -to -end supply chain operations for utility and AMI projects procurement and vendor development. The role ensures timely material availability, cost optimization, vendor compliance, and project schedule adherence through effective sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
- End -to -end procurement of electrical materials, cables, panels, meters, IT hardware, networking equipment, and services
- RFQs, technical–commercial evaluations, negotiations, and PO releases
- Ensure sourcing from approved vendors/OEMs (GTP compliance)
- Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, IT, and Site teams to meet delivery timelines
- Vendor onboarding, performance reviews, and issue resolution
- Manage logistics, warehousing, GST/ e -way bill compliance, and inventory control
- Drive cost savings, alternate sourcing,
and rate contracts
- Maintain documentation and ensure audit and policy compliance
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of utility/EPC and IT hardware procurement
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Project -driven execution mindset with urgency
- Proficiency in SAP system / Procure Engine / Ariba / MS Excel
- Robust coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Prior exposure to utility/Electrical EPC projects & IT hardware sourcing
