We are seeking a Makerspace Lab Incharge to manage day-to-day operations of a hands-on innovation and fabrication lab where students engage in design, prototyping, and experiential learning. This is a lab operations and support role, focused on maintaining tools, equipment, and materials rather than classroom instruction. The ideal candidate has strong practical experience working with manufacturing-grade tools and workshop environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, maintain, and oversee tools, machines, and materials used in the Makerspace Lab.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of all equipment.
- Manage inventory of tools, consumables, and raw materials; track usage and replenishment.
- Support students and faculty by guiding secure and correct usage of lab equipment.
- Assist with setup, teardown, and day-to-day operational needs of student projects.




- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machines and tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and functional workshop environment.

Requirements

- Proven hands-on experience working with manufacturing-grade tools and machinery.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety and organization.
- Prior experience in a workshop, fabrication unit, prototyping lab, or school Makerspace is preferred.

Education

- Diploma or Degree in a technical, vocational, or engineering discipline (preferred).
