We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hematologist to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of blood disorders and hematologic malignancies. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat various hematological conditions including anemia, clotting and bleeding disorders, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other blood cancers.
- Interpret complex hematological data including peripheral blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, coagulation studies, and flow cytometry.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient hematology services, ensuring continuity of care across settings.
- Provide consultation services to other departments and assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary care plans.
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy for patients with hematologic malignancies.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel for accurate diagnostic interpretations and participate in the validation of hematology reports.
- Conduct bone marrow aspiration and biopsy procedures as required.
- Participate in hospital rounds, case discussions, tumor boards,
and academic sessions to contribute clinical expertise.
- Educate and guide patients and their families about disease conditions, treatment options, and prognosis with empathy and clarity.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records, documentation, and comply with medical regulatory standards and hospital policies.
Skills & Expertise:
- Sound clinical knowledge in Hematology including both benign and malignant blood disorders.
- Skilled in diagnostic techniques including bone marrow biopsy, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular hematology.
- Proficient in evaluating laboratory investigations, interpreting hematological parameters, and formulating evidence-based treatment plans.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work in high-pressure situations with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to the highest standard of medical ethics and patient care.
- Experience in handling chemotherapy protocols and managing associated complications is preferred.
- Interest in academic, research, or teaching activities is an added advantage.
Qualifications:
- MBBS from a recognized institution.
- MD or DNB in Hematology (essential).
- Valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or relevant state medical board.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year and up to 10 years of relevant experience in hematology practice.
- Exposure to both clinical and laboratory hematology settings is desirable.
