Role & Responsibilities

- Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures including appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, thyroidectomy, and trauma surgery with precision and efficiency.

- Lead pre-op evaluations, intra-op decision-making, and post-op recovery planning across emergency and elective cases.

- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and ICU teams to ensure seamless surgical workflow and patient safety protocols.

- Document surgical findings, maintain accurate procedure logs, and comply with hospital audit and regulatory standards.





- Mentor junior residents and surgical trainees while participating in departmental quality improvement initiatives.

- Respond promptly to surgical emergencies, including acute abdominal pathologies and trauma cases, as part of the on-call rotation.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

- MBBS

- MS in General Surgery

- DNB General Surgery

- FMAS

- LMF

- ACLS

- Basic Life Support (BLS)

- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)

Preferred

- Experience in laparoscopic and minimal-access surgery

- Previous work in high-volume trauma centers

- Membership in Indian Association of Surgeons (IAS)
