About the role:
This is an exciting prospect to lead and grow corporate social responsibility (CSR) fundraising and strategic partnerships for a mission-driven organization focused on maximizing the impact of cash-based policies in India. We seek a dynamic leader to work closely with the founders to expand our fundraising vertical, combining lead generation, concept development, and stakeholder engagement to deliver innovative funding solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising & Pipeline Development: Identify and approach corporate CSR programs, foundations, and HNI networks. Maintain a robust pipeline of at least 30 CSR prospects and map trends across India's top 200 corporates.
- Proposal Development & Strategic Pitching: Craft data-driven CSR proposals and grant applications tailored to funder priorities. Lead investor pitches, site visits, and develop impact-focused storytelling assets.
- Partnership Management: Build long-term relationships with CSR heads, CXOs, and sustainability officers. Oversee the entire partnership lifecycle,
from initial outreach to reporting and renewal.
- Compliance: Ensure all proposals and partnerships align with Companies Act Schedule VII compliance (CSR rules and CSR-1 registration).
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience: 8–12 years of progressive fundraising experience in India, with at least 5+ years dedicated specifically to CSR fundraising.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in raising INR 25–30 crore within the last year from CSR or institutional funders.
- Portfolio Management: Direct experience managing 10+ CSR partnerships simultaneously with high retention rates.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indias Companies Act 2013, CSR regulations (2% mandatory spending), and NITI Aayog compliance.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Development Studies, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Soft Skills: Excellent storytelling and pitching skills , a data-driven mindset for optimizing fundraising metrics , and an entrepreneurial spirit comfortable with building infrastructure from scratch.
