Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare schematics for control and protection panels, Local Control Cubicles (LCC), and Substation Automation Systems (SAS) for HV GIS Switchgear.
- Develop interlocking logic and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards for HV & LV switchgear & control gear.
- Coordinate with site teams and clients to gather and incorporate design inputs.
- Ensure detailed knowledge and application of all catalogue items used in LCC, CRP, and SAS panels.
- Utilize AutoCAD or E -Plan software (preferably E -Plan V2.9) for design and documentation.
- Understand various operating mechanisms for Circuit Breakers, Disconnector Switches, and Earth Switches in GIS systems.
- Prepare and review all manufacturing documents related to GIS panel design.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and best practices.
Requirements
Qualification:
- B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in secondary design for HV GIS Switchgear.
- Strong knowledge of relevant IEC/IEEE standards for HV & LV switchgear & control gear.
- Experience in working with protection relays, Bay Control Units (BCU), and interlocking logic design for GIS.
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SCADA, and E -Plan software.
- In -depth understanding of protection relays, contactors, and switchgear in GIS systems.
- Knowledge of panel equipment catalogue items such as timers, MCBs, contactors, terminals, and BCUs.
- Strong problem -solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with site teams and clients.
- Understanding of procurement and inventory management related to GIS panel equipment.
