WWF -India is one of the largest organisations in India, engaged in wildlife and nature conservation, for over 50 years. We invite applications for the position of Education & Outreach Officer in our Mumbai office.
The Education & Outreach Officer will play a key role in implementing WWF -India’s environmental education and corporate engagement programmes in Maharashtra. The role involves strengthening school and citizen outreach, managing programme delivery, and supporting corporate volunteering and awareness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Engagement & Nature Connect
- Conceptualizing and executing Corporate Connect initiatives.
- Develop an annual corporate engagement calendar.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate CSR/HR teams.
- Manage event logistics, participant communication, and feedback.
2. Setting Education & Outreach
- Support outreach of ongoing programmes: Vasundhara Mitra, Mangrove Mitra, Nature Connect, People for Planet.
- Liaise with schools, educators, volunteers, and NGOs.
- Coordinate workshops, eco -trails, webinars, and awareness events.
- Monitor programme progress and maintain documentation.
- Support training and orientation for educators, master trainers, and volunteers.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Maintain databases for corporates, schools and volunteers.
- Track programme milestones, outputs, and outcomes.
- Document case studies, feedback, and best practices.
- Master’s degree – preferably in Environmental Studies, Education, Social Work, Sustainability, or related field. Applicants from Business / Communications will also be considered.
- 3years’ experience in programme coordination/ business development/education/outreach, or CSR/community engagement.
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
