You are responsible for the end-to-end management of all the database engagement in Minfy, which includes P&L;, EBITDA management, people management, technical advice, planning, pre-sales, proposals, providing solutions, recruitment, succession planning, up- skilling, etc.

Responsibilities

- Strategic planning of Database practice to meet the monthly/quarterly/yearly goals.

- Responsible for the overall productivity of the team by running initiatives for automation, process improvements,

- Accountable for pre-sales, project intake and estimation.

- Accountable for the DBA technical leadership from project initiation to delivery.

- Work closely with the client as regards delivery approach conception, methodology and eventual delivery.

- Ensures appropriate organization, governance, decision making, and delivery structures are in place to drive outcomes articulated in the business case, business requirements, and program/project charter.

- Ensures that standard and best practices for Database Services are adopted.

- Lead and mentor a team of DBAs and serve as an escalation point for delivery issues.

- Perform regular delivery risk reviews and support the project teams with escalations and resolutions as required.

- Handles vendor contracting and management.





- Ensure delivery meets high quality standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Hands on minimum of 10+ years of experience in database development/ migration using T-SQL/PLSQL/PLpgSQL 

- Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience on MS SQL Server 

- Working experience with databases of 1-10TB in size across multiple database platforms (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.) 

- Should have worked in heterogenous database migrations from one database engine to another

- Experience in performance optimization techniques 

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate with senior stakeholders.

- Excellent inter-personal skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience working in Lean / Agile / Scrum methodologies for enterprise IT delivery.

- Managing and developing high performing project teams.
