We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Head to lead and manage a key product category. The ideal candidate will possess solid business acumen, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience in category management, pricing, vendor relations, and P&L; ownership. This role is pivotal in driving category growth, profitability, and operational excellence through collaboration with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
- Take full ownership of category P&L;, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify new opportunities.
- Lead vendor management, including sourcing, negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Partner with marketing and product teams to define pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales performance,



and key metrics to optimize category outcomes.
- Guide, mentor, and develop a team of category managers and executives to achieve performance targets.
- Continuously enhance category operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and profitability.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management.
- Demonstrated success in P&L; ownership and driving business growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
- Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods sectors is preferred.
