Position Overview
The BIM Developer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing custom tools, automation scripts, and integrations that enhance Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows. The role involves extensive work with Revit API, Dynamo, Python, C#, pyRevit, and the pyRevit API to deliver high -performance automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation tools using Revit API, Dynamo, Python, C#, pyRevit, and the pyRevit API.
- Create custom pyRevit extensions, buttons, and GUIs for internal workflows.
- Design plugins, add -ins, and scripts to improve modeling efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Collaborate with BIM teams to identify workflow challenges and propose technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing BIM tools, pyRevit extensions, and documentation.
- Integrate BIM workflows with external databases, dashboards, APIs, and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Revit, pyRevit, and automation frameworks.
- Support the implementation of BIM standards and advanced digital workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands -on experience with Revit, Dynamo, and automation workflows.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C#.
- Professional experience with Revit API and Dynamo customization.
- Experience developing pyRevit extensions and working with the pyRevit API.
- Valuable understanding of BIM standards, coordination workflows, and documentation processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (Forge) or web -based integrations.
- Knowledge of MVVM, WPF, and UI/UX design for Revit add -ins.
- Database integration skills (SQL, Firebase, MongoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and GitHub.
