As an Accountant, you will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s finance, audit, and compliance framework. This position is ideal for a qualified Chartered Accountant with solid post-qualification experience who enjoys working in a structured, quality-driven environment. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial records, supporting audits, and maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. Based in Mumbai, this is a full time, in-office role offering exposure to core accounting and assurance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts, including ledgers, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring consistency and completeness of financial data.
- Support statutory audits by preparing audit schedules, workings, supporting documents, and responding to audit queries in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards, including IND AS where relevant.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual financial reporting, consolidation processes, and management reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and tax-related requirements,
including timely filings and documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with external auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth audit and compliance processes.
- Strengthen internal controls and documentation practices to support audit readiness and financial discipline.
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies in financial processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You are a qualified Chartered Accountant with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with exposure to mid-sized accounting or audit firms.
- You have a strong foundation in statutory audits, assurance engagements, and preparation of financial statements.
- You possess a solid understanding of accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and best practices in financial reporting.
- You are detail-oriented, methodical, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and documentation.
- You communicate clearly and professionally, enabling effective coordination with auditors, consultants, and internal teams.
- You are comfortable working in an in-office, structured environment and take ownership of your responsibilities.
- You bring a disciplined, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
