Job Title: Production Manager - Solar and Instrument Distribution Transformers

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled professional with extensive experience in solar transformer manufacturing and instrument distribution transformers (IDTs). The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of winding, tanking, testing, and dispatch processes, and should have actively participated in short circuit and type testing of IDTs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and oversee the entire production cycle of solar and instrument distribution transformers.

- Monitor and manage processes such as winding, core assembly, tanking, testing, and dispatch.

- Ensure production aligns with quality standards and meets delivery timelines.

- Coordinate short circuit and type testing activities with the quality and R&D; departments.

- Optimize resource allocation to achieve production targets.

- Implement lean practices, safety norms, and 5S methodology on the shop floor.

- Maintain documentation for production, testing, and dispatch activities.





- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and lead corrective actions.

- Provide training to technicians and production staff.

- Collaborate with planning, design, and quality teams for continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience:

- In-depth knowledge of transformer manufacturing processes, particularly IDTs and solar transformers.

- Direct experience with short circuit and type testing.

- Hands-on expertise in winding, tanking, testing, and dispatch operations.

- Solid understanding of transformer components, electrical standards, and test protocols.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001, BIS, and other industry regulations.

- Proficiency in production documentation and ERP tools.

Requirements

- Proven experience in transformer manufacturing

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and 5S methodology
