Position Overview
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper supports the Executive Housekeeper in managing end -to -end housekeeping operations, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction across guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and back -of -house areas.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back -of -house
- Ensure rooms meet brand standards before guest check -in
- Monitor occupancy levels and plan staffing accordingly
- Coordinate with Front Office for room readiness, VIP arrivals, and special requests
Team Supervision & Training
- Supervise supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants, and laundry staff
- Conduct daily briefings and allocate duties
- Train teams on SOPs, safety procedures, grooming standards, and guest interaction
- Monitor performance and support staff evaluations
Quality Assurance & Audits
- Conduct regular room inspections and public area audits
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and brand standards
- Implement corrective actions for identified gaps
- Support high performance in internal and external quality audits
Inventory & Cost Control
- Manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, guest amenities, and equipment
- Maintain par levels and consumption controls
- Track laundry operations and outsourced vendor quality
- Assist with budgeting and cost optimization
Guest Experience, Safety & Reporting
- Handle housekeeping -related guest complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Coordinate special setups and amenities for VIP guests
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and chemical handling standards
- Assist in preparing operational reports and maintain housekeeping documentation
- Coordinate with Engineering for maintenance follow -ups
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or Housekeeping Management
- 3–6 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory or leadership roles
- Experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments preferred
- Familiarity with PMS and housekeeping management systems
