Job Objective:

Develop, implement and maintain standards, policies and
systems to ensure that the entire docking process for scheduled and unscheduled
dockings of vessels is carried out in the most efficient and professionally
effective manner, in accordance with standard industry practices, relevant
quality standards and with the objective to achieve a protected, streamlined and
timely docking exercise to enhance the asset value and ensure sustainable
operational and commercial reliability of the vessel until the next scheduled
docking.

Key Accountabilities:

- Support the Company
in becoming the world’s leading Ship Management Company by providing expert
advice, supervision and training to promote safe and cost-effective docking
processes across the full managed fleet

- Cooperate with Supply Chain Management and GENPRO. Help develop strategies for cooperation with shipyards and repair facilities.

- Collaborate with SMC
Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents Assist in reviewing shipyard
quotations

- Support alignment
with repair specifications, vessel requirements, trading patterns, and proposed
docking locations. For evaluating the docking budget.

- Monitor the docking




status of ships under full management and collaborate with the fleet teams and
tenders for projects as BSM Drydock desk

- Collaborate with SMC
Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents and assist in comparing quotations
and evaluating vessel and owner requirements

- Review standard shipyard
pricelists.

- Assist in developing
strategies for dry docking within the BSM fleet.

- Prepare and present
regular progress reports to the commercial Superintendent.

- Act as a single point
of contact for shipyards and repair facilities. Assist in developing strategies
for close cooperation with shipyards and repair facilities

- Closely cooperate
with the Supply Chain Management(Genpro) and build a link between the BSM
Drydock Desk.

- Act as a Drydock
agent/broker between the shipyard and the BSM.

Requirements

Education
and Qualifications:

▪ B.S. degree in Mechanical, Marine Engineering, Naval
Architecture or equivalent

▪ Must be a highly organized person who can monitor
numerous projects at once and can prioritize the workloads of reporting
employees. Effective time management skills are a must.

Work
Experience:

▪ Experience in an estimator role will be an added
advantage

▪ Experience in the Drydock department of ship management/Ship
owning company for reviewing the projects.

Job-Specific
Skills:

▪ knowledge of the entire docking process .

▪ Review itemized listing of required work tasks based
on review of bid request.

▪ Excellent negotiation and communication skills with
domestic and international clientele.

▪ Ability to review specifications and estimates for
marine projects.

▪ Understanding of marine classification society rules

▪ Fluency in English

▪ Good Knowledge of MS Office
