Job Title: Program Manager – EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services)


Location: Mysuru


Department: Program Management / Operations




Role Summary


We are looking for a dynamic and result -oriented Program Manager in the EMS industry to lead end -to -end program execution, customer engagement, and business growth initiatives.



The role will act as the single point of contact between customers and internal teams, driving programs from concept/NPI to mass production while ensuring alignment with organisational goals, timelines, cost, and quality targets.



In addition, the role will contribute to identifying new opportunities, improvement areas, and solution development to support business expansion and operational excellence.





Key Responsibilities


1. Program Management & Execution


- Lead end -to -end program lifecycle from RFQ → NPI → production → delivery.

- Define program scope, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.

- Establish, monitor, and control program schedules, timelines, and budgets.

- Ensure programs are delivered within cost, quality, and timeline targets.




2. Customer & Business Interface

- Act as the primary interface for customers, ensuring strong communication and relationship management.

- Manage customer expectations, escalations, and program reviews.

- Support quotation, contract discussions, and commercial negotiations.




3. Cross -Functional Leadership

- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and procurement teams.





- Plan and manage execution through cross -functional teams and support staff.

- Drive alignment across departments to meet program and organizational goals.




4. Process Governance & Operational Excellence

- Establish and implement operating procedures, practices, and program governance frameworks.

- Ensure adherence to EMS processes (NPI, DFM, manufacturing readiness, quality standards).

- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process efficiency initiatives.




5. Financial & Resource Management

- Own program -level budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance.

- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, materials, and resources.

- Deliver on fiscal, operational, and staffing goals aligned with business objectives.




6. Business Development & Growth

- Identify new business opportunities, customer requirements, and expansion areas.

- Support business development, marketing activities, and proposal creation.

- Collaborate with sales teams to convert opportunities into active programs.




7. Risk Management & Problem Solving

- Identify and mitigate program risks (technical, supply chain, operational).

- Drive resolution of complex operational and technical challenges.





- Ensure continuity of operations and customer satisfaction.




8. Program Governance & Reporting

- Track and report KPIs: cost, delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction.

- Conduct regular program reviews with stakeholders and leadership.

- Ensure transparency through structured reporting and dashboards.




Key Skills & Competencies

- Solid understanding of EMS lifecycle (RFQ, NPI, production, supply chain)

- Excellent program/project management skills

- Strong customer handling and stakeholder management

- Financial acumen (budgeting, cost control)

- Problem -solving and decision -making ability

- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing (PCBA, cables, electro -mechanical assemblies)




Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical)

- 8–15 years of experience in Program Management / Operations in EMS

- Experience in handling customer programs and cross -functional teams

- Exposure to contract manufacturing and global customers




Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- On -time program delivery (OTD)

- Customer satisfaction & retention

- Program profitability/cost control

- Successful NPI to production transition

- Reduction in risks, delays, and escalations




Preferred Experience

- Experience in a high -mix EMS environment

- Exposure to global OEM customers

- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and reporting tools
