The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students on educational choices, course selections, and career planning, ensuring a seamless admission experience. This role requires proactive engagement with students, managing sales accounts on CRM software, achieving enrolment targets, and coordinating closely with marketing and internal teams to enhance student acquisition and retention.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling
- Counsel students on educational concerns, including course and program selection and career planning.
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to represent the college and specific courses, including outstation travel and stays.
2. Admission Experience Management
- Take complete ownership of the student admission journey, ensuring timely resolution of queries through emails, phone calls, etc.
- Perform reverse counselling for students considering similar courses at other institutions.
3. CRM Management
- Manage and update sales account details using CRM software.
- Record all successful and unsuccessful sales attempts on CRM for tracking and reporting purposes.
4. Sales and Target Achievement
- Understand customer requirements thoroughly and pitch products/services accordingly.
- Meet and exceed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly admission targets.
5. Market Intelligence and Strategy
- Stay informed about competitor activities and devise strategies to acquire prospective students.
- Provide regular feedback and market insights to the marketing and school relationship teams for dynamic strategy development.
6. Internal Collaboration
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to streamline admission processes.
