What you will do:

In this position your mission will be to utilise appropriate engineering techniques and considerations of manufacturing processes to manufacture the electrolyser stack, starting from the pilot to production stage. You will also support manufacturing issue resolution by directly interfacing with the manufacturing vendor/ personnel using DFM. You will work in a cross-functional team to solve complex manufacturing challenges.

Your responsibilities:

- Design for manufacturability and developing inspection criteria

- Oversee the rapid prototyping of new system components and develop and perform component and system level testing.

- Working, validating & verifying a Design feasibility study for new conceptual designs in terms of DFM/A and VAVE.

- Complete documentation ( such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW as per requirements) to support build resolution.

- Control of engineering standards for plastic manufacturing.

- Experience in Tooling, Gauging, and SPM.

- Minimizing performance bottlenecks for higher productivity by maximizing men, material, and machine.

- Having knowledge of 3D CAD software (SolidWorks).

- Work effectively with suppliers/ vendors to ensure designs are efficient for manufacturing and able to meet quality requirements

- Execute basic to moderately complex engineering designs with limited guidance.

- Effective and clear communication via design reviews of concepts in order to foster detailed discussions to reach conclusions.

- Provide and communicate creative solutions to problems.





Requirements

Basic qualifications:

- Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Production Engineering or similar.

- 2-5 years of industry related experience in manufacturing/ tooling especially for plastics manufacturing.

- Complete understanding of Plastic manufacturing processes and production.

- Understanding of Material selection and its implications.

- Should understand the tooling and gauging.

- Should have knowledge of using SolidWorks.

- Knowledge of DFMEA/PFMEA, DFM, GD&T; and DFA, and other robust tools to build foolproof products.

- Knowledge of Quality documentation -such as CP, PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, MSA, PSW.

- Knowledge of inspection methodology and techniques.

- Knowledge of statistical process control.

- Should have a good understanding of plastic tooling defects and how to rectify them.
