Boeing India Engineering and Technology Centre is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Chennai, India. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a global team working on providing ME solutions to a wide range of Boeing products and services across the world.
A successful candidate will lead the preparation of build plan, author assembly work instructions and implement standard works. The position would focus on working closely with global teams to ensure the assembly work instructions are defined most efficiently thereby ensuring best value for our customers.
The role provides avenues to collaborate stakeholders across the globe to derive solutions to complex manufacturing problem statements and lead continuous improvements. This position also offers opportunities to be part of integrated project teams on the manufacturability and producibility of design definitions. Be a part of our passionate and motivated team that always keep an eye to identify potential opportunities to improve and standardize the assembly process for our diverse range of products.

Position Responsibilities :

- Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
- Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies
- Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements
- Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
- Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
- Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
- Guide teams to author Installation plan, fabrication plans in CAPP/MES.
- Lead the implementation of Standard works in assembly operations for Boeing products
- Ensure the prevailing Installation plans are audited and meet the defined standards.




- Continuously review the existing assembly process and drive process improvements
- Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
- Participates in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
- Ensure compliance to company quality management system requirements.
- Interfaces with IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 6+ year of experience in a manufacturing engineering role. Experience with Boeing Commercial aircraft platforms, Boeing processes is desirable.
- Experience with Aerospace Manufacturing, Fabrication, Assembly Processes and Technologies.
- Experience with creation of manufacturing planning and authoring assembly work instructions.
- Experience with various aerospace materials and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of ME tools like MES, IPDM.
- Working knowledge with CATIA/NX Modelling software's.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

- Bachelor's degree or higher

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 5 years' related work experience.)
