Key responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead the team in designing, configuring, and implementing supply chain technology solutions for new customers and existing customer solution enhancement/maintenance/upgrades.
Key Responsibilities include:





- Lead a global team of highly motivated Software Engineers to successfully (on time and at quality) develop and deploy a continuous backlog of Configuration Change Requests, New Customer/Site Implementations, and upgrades (technical debt mitigation).
- Provide solution sign-off on all sales/growth initiatives which includes a resource plan that demonstrates how the project would be delivered (internal and/or external resources).
- Ensure accurate visibility of progress toward agreed deliverables, and capacity constraints.
- Expand capabilities in the team to independently handle both warehouse and container depot application implementations.
- Maintain a pool of capable external consultants to be used in times of demand outstripping your own team's capacity.

Successful cross functional partnering will require understanding roles and responsibilities of various teams, ensuring your team delivers on its commitments, and holding other teams accountable for their deliverables to your team.
- Successful adoption of our Supply Chain strategies across your team.
- Successful collaboration with Operations, Technology Infrastructure Services, Data Integration, Industrial Technology, Business Change Management, Program Management, and Product Engineering, Enterprise Architect, Cloud Technology team.

Change Management is an important area of focus for the leaders within Maersk Technology.
- Grow and upskill the team to independently deliver on implementations, upgrades and application support.
- Develop your team's expertise in Supply Chain domain and latest cutting edge technology




- Support your counterpart Engineering Managers with the successful adoption of their initiatives within your team, enabling the successful role out of our Integrator strategy.

We are looking for

- Proven success in driving and leading teams across geographies within budgets.
- Solid experience as senior engineer who has deployed solutions successfully with high quality.
- Experience of Agile development/ deployment principles.
- Strong understanding of the inter-reliance between technology and operational teams for the successful deploy of Supply chain system implementations and migrations.
- Hands On leader who can lead and drive the team to execute architectural designs to deliver high quality products.
- Any experience in modernisation of legacy systems and customer migrations, would be desired.

Business & Technical Skills:

- Skilled stakeholder - and people manager with the ability to communicate complex messages, constructively challenge internal stakeholders.
- Ability guide engineers through successful implementation projects in a DevOps setting, including testing and deployment
- Setting and leading high performing-, skilled- and impactful teams

Other Skills:

- An excellent team player, balanced with strong autonomy and high motivation to deliver and lead
- An out-of-the-box-thinker with an open mind who is intrigued by new ideas and innovative solutions

Qualifications:

- 9+ years of experience
- IT or Computer Science engineering degree preferred but not essential
- Multiple languages is a plus
- Fundamental managerial skills
- Fluent proficiency in both written and oral English
