Job Description:

Distribution Logistics Analyst is typically a team lead role responsible for Aftermarket NPI parts planning. This includes analyzing current process, implementing process enhancements and quality gates to ensure successful NPI launches and minimize parts availability issues. The incumbent is responsible to work with PPS/PPA to drive proactive actions to improve parts availability and execute mitigation plan to minimize availability challenges. This role also involves, leading projects/ initiatives to build lean supply chain capability using lean methodologies.

Distribution Logistics Analyst is responsible to performs tactical work, manage work allocation, coordinate with cross functional teams for NPI parts planning, issue resolution and manage escalations. Participate as Subject Matter Expert on global projects, work collaboratively with internal or external business partners to improve overall value chain.

The incumbent will communicate with internal and external business partners to resolve complex issues that impacts parts availability and customer satisfaction.



Internal and external customers include contacts within Product Group, Procurement, Inventory Management, Global Parts Supply and Operations which influences smooth transition.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8-10 years relevant industry experience in Service Parts, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, and Procurement.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication required to develop a cooperative work relationship with all global process partners.

- Strong customer focus and ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people, in a fast paced, time constrained environment and ability to lead projects

- Strong knowledge of statistical and problem-solving tools and have knowledge and experience in the use of 6 Sigma tools and methodology

- Experience in managing complex supply chain issues.

- Excellent understanding of Cat Parts business and systems

- Must be willing to work in US shift timing to have enough overlap with Morton team

DESIRED SKILLS:

- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification

- Strong knowledge in SAS/VBA and Power BI

- Good knowledge on Caterpillar Engineering, Procurement and Aftermarket Parts distribution practices
