About the team

What you will be doing:

- Preparing indirect tax returns and withholding tax returns for assigned APAC countries
- Raising payment requests for indirect tax related payments.
- Preparing reconciliations for indirect tax and withholding tax accounts, including investigating of aged / unreconciled balances
- Preparing of monthly journals for indirect tax and withholding tax transactions
- Ensuring effective, pro-active communication with external and internal stakeholders




- Assisting with tax audits and queries from tax authorities
- Assisting with annual statutory audits in relation to indirect tax and withholding tax sections
- Support in gathering data and preparing various reports as per requirements. Replying to requests from management, tax authorities and auditors.
- Experience of preparing journals and booking in the system mainly as month end activities

What you bring:

- Degree qualified in a related field, e.g., Accounting, Finance or Commerce
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience of APAC indirect tax regime in an international environment, preferably with a multi-national firm, or mid-tier accounting firm
- Strong accounting skills, including month-end closing activities such as preparing journals and preparing reconciliations, and analysing financial statements / transactions
- Team player having good verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Experience of Oracle ERP and SAP
