ANGARAI INDIA is looking for a Human Resource Executive to join our team in our Chennai office. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for various functions of the Human Resource department, including compensation, benefits, leave, reporting, and administration of company policies.
The ideal person for this position has proven expertise in Human Resources. This includes benefits administration, compensation, reporting, benefits and training. To be a competent HR Executive, you should be patient and compassionate, have excellent listening skills, and be able to multitask effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Duties will often include the following but not limited to
- Responsible for developing/maintaining/implementing the SOP/guidelines in the HR department.
- Co-ordinate with recruitment team and other departments for the staffing requirements
- Draft and update documentation such as employee handbook, performance appraisal protocols/guidelines, SOP, policies, and other relevant documents.
- Maintain and review employee’s relevant documents and medical records.
- Keep track of employees’ attendance / absenteeism and report to HR Manager.
- Coordinate with vendors for insurance, statutory requirements, and interaction with Government agencies.
- Review, update and maintain proper filing of employees’ medical insurance policies and statutory requirements.
- Responsible for onboarding and offboarding of the employees along with the respective documentation as per the SOP.
- Provide and co-ordinate with other functional heads for the orientation program to new employees.
- Handle or escalate the employee queries amicably and as per the company norms.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee’s exit.
- Plan company events or activities on special occasions with management’s approval.
- Organising training sessions or trainings for employees ensuring they are fully equipped to be able to perform their duties.
- Maintain physical and digital records of all employees.
- Ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed by the employees.
- Understanding of statutory compliances like Minimum wages, Professional tax, ESI, Gratuity, TDS and any other requirements.
- Knowledge about the USA payroll and compliance is preferred.
- Responsible for ANGARAI and all its entities together now or in future.
- Willingness to adapt to any other area that may be assigned by the management in due course of your employment with the organization.

- Computer literate particularly with Microsoft 365.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to details, willingness to develop & learn new skills.
- Proficient writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively & professionally.

- Required to work in night shifts or flexible shifts.

Education:
- Bachelor's degree in any stream is mandatory and Master’s in Human resources will be an added advantage.
