Basic Function

The role is an Engineer/ Lead Engineer position for the engineering office in Mumbai. The person would be involved in the design function with responsibility for performing Design and quality checks on engineering documentation in Piping.

Roles & Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• 6-10 years of relevant post qualification experience in reputed Engineering Companies with some exposure to manufacturing in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical sectors.

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
Area of Exposure: The individual should be proficient in following tasks:




1. Develop Equipment layout and plot plan in brownfield as well as green field petrochemical project.
2. Develop piping design basis for Basic Engineering & Detail Engineering projects.
3. Develop list of piping deliverables in basic Engineering & Detail Engineering.
4. Review of Piping Engineering deliverables received from Engineering contractor in Basic & Detail Engineering stage.
5. Develop Plot plan/ Equipment layout considering operational, maintenance & safety requirements.
6. Develop piping layout considering operational, maintenance & safety requirements.
7. Develop piping tie in package.
8. Preparation of Material Take Off’s.
9. Review of 3D model and conduct 30%, 60% & 90% model review.
10. Knowledge of relevant codes & standard like ASME, API & MSSP.
11. Knowledge of Europian codes & standard will be an added advantage.
12. Quality control of Piping Documentation.
13. Knowledge of piping Stress Analysis.
14. Knowledge of Piping & Valve Material specifications., Insulation, Painting.
15. Should have Excellent communication skills and should have participated in International projects.

Additional required Competencies:

1. Should have hands on experience in Piping 3D tools and other work/ software handling experience mentioned below:
1. Auto cad plant 3D (preferred).
2. Detail Engineering brownfield/ modification project using Laser Scan data.
3.



should be able to handle the challenges during interface of 3D tool and laser scan data.
4. should have detail knowledge about piping and valve material specification.
5. have detail knowledge about piping codes & standard for design, layout, Material & installation.
6. should have basic knowledge about Piping stress analysis.

Min. Qualifications

EDUCATION:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Piping Engineering
• Additional specific experience, and certifications in expertise areas are preferable.
