Data Analyst – Procurement Systems and Analytics

Position Overview

This position is responsible for executing and solving complex business problems by leveraging data and analytics within Procurement at Baxter to drive actionable insights. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, generation, and visualization. Additionally, this person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. This position will partner closely with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team and stakeholders with a focus on the highest level of data and analytics solutions.





This position reporting to the Senior Manager of Procurement Analytics & Automation will work with a global team of data analysts, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key Duties:

- Work closely with project managers/stakeholders to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders, with an eye on what drives business performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and productivity
- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
- Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
- Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
- Champion data and analytics solutions to increase data literacy across the company

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Economics
- 4+ years of progressive business experience in executing and delivering data and analytics projects
- Proven analytics skills, including mining,



evaluation, and visualization using various tools, such as AWS Athena, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and/or Power Query
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations, especially in SQL
- Knowledge in cloud computing and environments like AWS, Azure, or Snowflakes
- Experience with Agile methodology in data and analytics practices
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills
- Experience with creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Knowledge of ERP systems, such as JDE and/or SAP is a plus

Preferred:

- Experience in a regulated and highly technical environment preferred, such as experience in the Automotive, Aerospace, OEM, and/or Medical Device industries.
