Job description

We are seeking an Associate Manager to lead our Real World Evidence Operations team, which comprises Project Managers working across different therapy areas like Diabetes, Obesity, other Cardiometabolic disorders like NASH, ASCVD, and rare diseases like haemophilia and sickle cell anaemia (rare blood disorders), as well as rare endocrine disorders like growth hormone disorders.
The Position:
As the Associate Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager- Regions Operations, Global Medical Affairs, Bangalore and will be functionally working very closely with the Senior Director for Real World Evidence in the International Operations Strategic Office (IOSO). The IOSO funds RWE studies based on proposals from the countries in line with the medical launch strategies. You would support the Sr. Director RWE, IOSO, and the country SPOCs to ensure resources are allocated to the studies as required. You will also aid as a consultant epidemiologist and scientific lead to ensure the RWE study designs from the countries attain their full potential.
Your key responsibilities will include:

- Leading the Real-World Evidence Operations team, comprising project managers across different therapy areas and regions
- Ensuring that studies are executed according to timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinating with the Medical writers, the biostatistics team, procurement heads, vendors, and data management teams to ensure that the network is functioning smoothly




- Providing consultation and scientific leadership to ensure the RWE studies' optimal design
- Collaborating with the Sr. Director RWE, IOSO, and the country SPOCs to allocate resources to studies as required

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in real-world evidence operations
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including project management, procurement, and data management thereby ability to manage complex tasks and organizational issues.
- Strong understanding of clinical study design and analysis, including epidemiology and biostatistics
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Additional education and experience in pharma business/marketing.
- Ability to coach colleagues and support team development.
- Strategic mindset.
- Ability to engage and collaborate with people of different cultural background
- Excellent written and spoken English.Excellent networking abilities and Experience and willingness to work in an international matrix organisation.

Global Medical Affairs, GBS (GMA GBS) is an extension of the Global Medical Affairs team in Headquarters (HQ) in Denmark and Zurich and is based out of Global Business Services (GBS), Bangalore, India. The team consists of highly motivated scientific and medical advisors, project managers, medical illustrators and publication manager working together with HQ, regions and affiliates across the world.



Our core competencies are communicating scientific and medical knowledge on our products to the external scientific community and across the organization delivering external medical events including in-house content development and project management and Publication planning.
