Job Description :

Task portfolio
. Support of the system simulation department EDVS within the Division E 'Electrified Powertrain Technology'
. Preparation of complex eDrive (e.g. BEV) and Hybrid-Transmission (e.g. PHEV) models with in-house and commercial tools
. Preparation of models with regards to geometrical and physical non-linearities (e.g. elasticity, plasticity and contact)
. Perform static and nonlinear analysis of complex powertrain systems, housings and internal parts
. Execution of lifetime calculations for housings and internal eDrive parts as well as for gearings and bearings and analysis of the results
. Optimization of the products with the respect to strength, deformation behavior and fatigue
. Verification / Validation of the simulation results based on measured data
. Development of a condensed block program for layout, design and testing based on component damage
. Implementation of proposals concerning material properties,



component optimization and cost reduction, within regards to technical and economic aspects
. Due to technology-driven changes it might be necessary to perform simulations in related areas (1D-Thermo-dynamic, 3D-MBS, NVH, Efficiency)
Requirement
. Senior or Technical Engineer 3-5 year's experience
. Education: Diploma resp. Master of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering
. Practical application experience with the following simulation software tools: HyperMesh, HyperWorks, PERMAS, LMS Tecware, VirtualLab, MatLab and Dymola
. Willingness to learn and use additional ZF in-house tools (e.g. GENIA)
. Experience in Automotive Industry as well as in the analysis of passenger car components
. Practical Experience in priority 1: lifetime calculations, damage accumulation methods and in priority 2: Thermodynamics, MBS, NVH, Efficiency
. Knowledge of CREO preferable
. Very good communication capabilities
. Flexibility and willingness for travel
