The Role

-
Collaborate with business colleagues to identify and define opportunities to use data to drive solutions for business challenges
-
Model, collate and extract data to supply reports and solutions to colleagues within the business
-
Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results
-
Create clear reports that tell compelling stories about how customers or clients work with the business

Assess the effectiveness of data sources and data-gathering techniques and improve data collection methods
-
Stay up to date with the latest technology, techniques and methods
-
Support the team in looking for opportunities to use insights/datasets/code/models across other functions in the organisation
-
Document solution including source-to-target mappings and data dictionary.

What we expect of you
Knowledge, skills, experience required

A good understanding of how data solutions satisfy business requirements and the consequences of sub-optimal design
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
-
Extensive experience with SQL coding and SQL Server databases.
-
Extensive experience delivering data solutions using Databricks

-
Extensive experience designing and creating Power BI dashboards and reports
-
Experience of Extract, Transform and Load technologies and techniques.
-
Familiarity with the Azure ecosystyem ( DataBricks, DataFactory, KeyVault, LogicApps )
-
Must be able to collaborate with colleagues with and without technical expertise.

Useful Skills

Excel coding skills

Familiaity with Python or R
-
Experience delivering solutions on the MS PowerPlatform
-
Experience building algorithm and training models for Machine Learning projects

Education & Experience
-
3 + years of experience in a relevant Development/Data Engineer or Analytics role.

Preferably a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
-
Preferably a qualification in Data Science relevant to the technology stack
