Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to help us build functional systems that improve customer experience. DevOps Engineer responsibilities include deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations that meet customer needs. If you have a solid background in software engineering and are familiar with Ruby or Python, we d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will execute and automate operational processes rapid, accurately and securely.

Requirements

More than 5+ years operations/DevOps/software experience
Demonstrated technical experience
Understanding of SRE core principles with experience implementing and iterating on them with
business and technical stakeholders
Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code techniques
Experience with building and supporting robust CI/CD pipelines
Experience building, automating, monitoring and scaling AWS cloud environments
Able to assist in incident response across tech as needed, using systematic debugging to diagnose
issues
Commitment to foster a culture of observability, security and performance across the organization
Strong coding skills in either Go/Ruby/Python/Java or similar and excellent scripting skills (bash,
etc)
Works across the organization to foster iterative design, autonomous development and scaling
Actively works with all team members to set and refine the broader strategy strategy while instilling
a security-first mindset across the organization
Works to foster a culture of priority setting and urgency in alignment with Teams priorities

Subject matter knowledge and experience
Experience in patterns for integrating third party providers (not limited to payments)
Experience with Cloud based environments and architecture (AWS preferred)
Experience in development of API-based system and scaling patterns
Solid multi-year experience in developing back-end systems in one programming language like Go, Ruby,
Python, Java

Skills and characteristics
4 years+ experience with Site Reliability Engineering and full-stack web development at scale
Proven track record of deliverign to stakeholders as part of an Agile team
A proven commitment to agile and scaled agile software development
Experience in designing parts of systems from scratch
Proficient in AWS technologies and able to utilise them securely, efficiently, cost effectively, in a scalable and
well architected system
