JD for Storage and Backup as per AccountSkills: - Responsibilities include providing 24 X 7 offshore/remote support. Audit application storage & backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of storage & backup/recovery activities. Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks. Participate in the recovery of application environments where required. Ensure integrity of supported environment. Hardware /software fault detection and vendor liaison Liaise with customer accounts as required. Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target. Must be prepared to work within a team on a standby rotational for 24x7 support of customer systems. Should have desired Operating System Skills. Perform change management and incident management for enterprise storage systems Develop an understanding of project engagement processes (Service Readiness)



and partner with project teams on Conditions of Satisfaction deliverables including support documentationTechnical Skills - Storage: Experience in storage administrative tools of NetApp/Virtual NetApp/IBM/Azure Cloud Storage/Brocade SAN Fabric , Native commands of SAN and NAS devices Monitors, escalates, and re-mediate NAS & SAN device/application {access, performance, events} alerts to identify/ potential incidents Provide storage provisioning for NAS/SAN systems Providing level three DAS, SAN, NAS Configuring and administering support and expertise as it relates to the storage environment as needed Implement, maintain, monitor, performance tuning and upgrade Network Attached Storage (NAS) setting Storage Array/NAS Performance Tuning Requires expertise with the design, configuration, and administration, tuning, optimizing and troubleshooting for NFS/CIFS protocol on NetApp and EMC Isilon storage arrays Understand and troubleshoot the SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols Play a key role in Business Continuity Planning and DR strategy, ensuring our designs are considered by using NetApp SnapMirror technology Configuration ,monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking,



strong trouble shooting skills in storage environment and solving problems pro-active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/errors. Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems. Storage controller firmware up gradation, Disk controller firmware up gradation Monitor STORAGE systems and check for failures Check disk space on STORAGE systems Creation of STORAGE user accounts Log of email alerts into ServiceNow Sign off of daily checks. Investigate and resolve problem tickets Respond to email alerts from subsystems. Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems Problem determination and resolution on a 24x7 basis. Perform system administration activities Creation and updating of Document when required Account administration. Interface with storage vendors for hardware repairs Disaster Recovery support ( Should have basic knowledge) Good hands on experience on SAN,NAS.Storage Technologies:NetApp, NetApp CVO, Virtual NetApp, IBM, Brocade FabricTechnical Skills - Backup: Ability to convert Business requirement to the Backup planning. Proficient on Commvault/Azure backup setup and different restoration methodology. Should be able to independently handle image, FS, DB based backups/restores. Configure, install, and manage data backups/restore for applications and systems. Ensure that restore procedures are configured and tested.
