A professional Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities

- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role.
- Working closely with IT to support physical database administration including performance management, security, installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management,



performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Ensure data requirements have been identified, design is fully normalized, and database complies with industry best practices and strict security requirements, Server 2000, and above Administration.
- Managing database backup and recovery, database security, roles, and profiles.
- Maintain backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance and tuning of database and application.
- Ensure that all databases’ environments are deployed, maintained, and managed via proactive monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS.

Requirements

- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator.
- Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools.
- Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
- Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications.
- Knowledge of virtual servers and storage area network (SANs) related to capacity planning, security, and performance tuning.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) / Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) – SQL Server 2012 and above Administration.
- Experience in Upgrade / Migration of legacy db into latest version.
