Department Overview : Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Securities Shared Services Operations is a cross-functional group of teams that provide support for CIB-Markets and the broader Wells Fargo organization. Shared Services are the owners and stewards of both client and reference data with a focus on operational excellence and superior client service. The Shared Services Strategy team was established to execute strategic priorities, implement, and maintain control framework to ensure risk mitigation, partner with line teams to track and facilitate divisional initiatives, and drive collaboration between teams and business partners to deliver optimal solutions.
About the Role: Responsible for high priority initiatives within Wells Fargo India and Philippines Shared Services. This is an individual contributor role that focuses on formulating, maintaining, and delivering on organization wide operational strategy and policy, where you may also serve on functional and/or organization wide tasks or projects. This role is dynamic and requires candidates to be able to independently manage and execute end-to-end delivery of key operational themes across a 300 global organization. Finally, candidate will be expected to actively participate in global strategy conversations, device offshoring strategy, projects/process enhancements and encourage creative thinking amongst the team.
Key Responsibilities: The individual will be responsible for high priority initiatives for CIB Operations Shared Services leadership with the intent to perform a horizontal review on key operational themes, including but not limited to risk and control framework, capacity, metrics, risk quotients, and quarterbacking critical projects/programs. The role would require direct engagement with senior leaders across Shared services teams supporting client facilitations, onboarding and maintenance regulatory due diligence and product/agreement configurations. The individual will build a unique front to back subject matter expertise to partner and lead complex, diverse and challenging strategic initiatives designed to improve processes, controls,



and regulatory compliance across CIB Shared Services and enhance various front office & middle office functions.
Strategic Execution and Delivery:

- Understand Shared Services divisional priorities draft, opine and execute the division's target operating model (including forecasts, budgets, cost allocations, location and BCP strategy)
- Perform a 'quarterback' role to handhold complex deliverables requiring immediate execution
- Engage with third party vendors, perform assessment for data quality requirements and provide recommendations for investments with consideration to longer term internal strategic solutions
- Convert business problem statements into cost effective, scalable, reliable & user-friendly solutions

- Assist in onboarding new Shared Services teams including setting up processes, procedures and control

Executive Communication:

- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with senior leaders across the Shared Services LOBs globally to create executive ready presentations, including presentation of information and data to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding at all levels
- Drive complex issue management and deliverables into effective outcome-oriented conversations

- Lead and facilitate cross-operational forums that help identify and solve issues for shared services stakeholder
- Institute sturdy communication channels with business partners to support and manage the delivery of the division's strategic programs in a high quality, cost effective, timely and sustainable manner with risks and issues identified, prioritized, escalated, and managed in a timely fashion, with effective expectation management

Change mindset and collaboration :

- Collaborate on change initiatives across the division in a seamless manner, collaborating with global stakeholders facilitate discussions with leaders and subject matter experts to investigate and solve complex problems

- Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies, perform root cause analysis to propose ideas that improve front to back processing across the trade lifecycle

- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of the Operational processes and drive technological interventions to build scale and efficiency - within and outside of OSS
- Partner with teams within and outside of Shared Services to operationalize regulatory reforms, implement process controls and solve for key issues/needs
- Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources Participate in projects requiring data cleanups, process improvement analysis and reporting
- Maintain a harmonious relationship with global stakeholders, effectively syndicating on relevant issues, influencing to arrive at the right decisions

Risk & Control Mindset :

- Assist Shared Service line managers to assess, review, manage and mitigate risk by measuring key risk indicators (KRIs) through developing and maintaining the Risk Quotients (RQ's), ATC's (checklists) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to help the line teams to improve throughput while reducing risk
- Ensure operational practices follow relevant risk standards, policies and regulations to maintain an effective control environment
- Be a steward for the divisional BCP strategy - keep the plan updated and organize periodic dry runs
- Collaborate with Operational Risk, Control Executives and PRE (Process Review and Enhancement) teams to log and monitor Issues and Corrective Actions when operational incidents are identified

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- MBA/equivalent advanced degree,



or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience with project management, finance/budget management
- Strong candidates should possess superior verbal and written communication skills, portray great levels of accountability and attention to detail
- Candidates should be able to work effectively in a demanding, rapid-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently, while maintaining quality, accuracy and integrity
- Candidates should have experience presenting information to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding at all levels with the ability to develop and negotiate solutions to issues with partners or clients including escalations as needed

- Candidates should be able to work in a global team, interact at different levels and handle a wide range of deliverables with varying levels of complexities with focus on execution and result

- Advanced Microsoft Office skills to create persuasive PowerPoint presentations Strong analytical skills leveraging Microsoft Excel/Access

Preferred Skillsets:

- Experience working with data analytics, business intelligence, and data governance to drive tactical and strategic decisions and planning
- Experience identifying and driving process improvements in complex environments
- Ability to understand and work with data, including creating alignment among various data sources, developing trends, and creating risk-based analytics from multiple information sources. Experience with BI tools (ex. Alteryx, tableau is valued
- Proven ability and experience in being able to look at the big picture across a risk program and implement successful strategy and solutions
