Hybrid Working
We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're versatile on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:
. Be responsible for supporting the AVP Performance Insight Manager in the development and delivery of high quality, value adding analysis and insights including the production of Executive Presentations, proactive analysis and commentary. The role holder is responsible for managing the accuracy and data integrity of the insight reports that are presented to senior leadership stakeholders to support their understanding of business performance.
. Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of activities and enablers across Barclays Business and Barclays UK that influence business performance that will support delivery of Barclays Corporate strategic and commercial objectives.
. Develop and maintain a good understanding of external Market business forecasts to support reporting and insight capability.
What will you be doing
Performance Insight 70%
.



Run Analysis reporting systems on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (as required)
. Be responsible for the development, production and maintenance of user friendly insight and intelligence packs and bespoke analysis that suit business needs to inform business decision making.
. Responsible for shaping and improving in line with changing business requirements and continuous improvement.
. Undertake proactive analysis of performance using statistical / mathematical techniques to analyse and describe data, interpreting results and understanding their business implications. Recommends a plan and set of actions based on analysis, ensuring that all issues are monitored and actioned.
. Support the AVP Performance Insight Manager with the proactive development and provision of materials for Executive Managing Directors relating to 'Performance Insight' support delivery of strategic and commercial objectives through adoption and embedding of the Performance Framework principles.
. Have a wide commercial knowledge of products & competitors in order to undertake broad multiple source analysis.
. Support on provision and ongoing development of appropriate commentary to accompany results, indicating trends etc. Presented in packs by the role holder to a wide range of stakeholders (MD, Director, VP level)
. Provide deep dive ad hoc 5C business analysis and solutions to support business focuses for stakeholders (as above)
Technical Support/ Stakeholder Engagement 5%
. Assists the Performance Insight Manager in providing support to Customer Network / Channel Leadership in all aspects of channel / customer network performance insights (across all aspects for business performance).
. Acts as a point of contact for the Performance Insight & Planning team, providing expertise and resolving queries/issues on all administrative/technical issues around Executive performance reporting and insights.
. Collation, aggregation and presentation of a wide variety of information obtained from sources internal and external to the Bank.
Performance Information, Integrity & Provision 10%
. Work with business support functions and data providers to improve data availability, integrity and provision in line with business requirements.
. Responsible for simplification of performance insight and data access that will enable greater self-service for non-analytic roles and reduce the need for recurring report provision.
. Act as the key stakeholder and interface for data providers, including BUK MI teams.
. Support the provision of data integrity and the maintenance of robust data sources and master records, ensuring that all relevant issues and updates are actioned.
. Identify and monitor trends at national and channel team level, liaising with the Senior Performance Insight Manager and channel teams to ensure accurate and relevant information is presented.

What we're looking for:
. Advanced numerical and analytical skills
. Hands-on experience in relational databases like Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server and PL/SQL
.



Experience with data visualisation / reporting tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview
. Excellent stakeholder management with advanced written and oral communication skills
. Excellent team player with the ability to also work independently on mini-projects when required
. Self-motivated, takes ownership of responsibilities assigned to him/her and working towards closure of issues
. Able to pay attention to detail and demonstrate awareness of internal controls
. Ability to cope with change in very tight deadlines
. Proven ability to work under pressure and balance priorities
. 'Can do' attitude with the confidence, composure and common-sense to interact with staff at all levels, including Senior Executives
. Relevant years of experience or more

Skills that will help you in the role:
. Experience of accurate performance analysis and insight production ensuring appropriate and timely recommendations are made
. Experience of preparing presentations to senior stakeholders up to MD level
. Experience of data manipulation using MS Excel, VBA and Teradata SQL
