Job description

Position SAP Basis Administrator Educational Qualification BE/B.Tech/MCA/MBA Experience & Skill 3-6 Years Responsibilities To ensure that the SAP system is up and running Troubleshooting and problem solving Check DB/OS/SAP system traces and logs Transport Management System Client copy, refresh, license management Evaluate backup operation results Check database operations Implementing best SAP Basis Practices, assess hardware sizing and capacity planning & building. Managing Background Jobs-Scheduling, monitoring, checking background job status and work process status Check Dump status User administration-Verify user operations, lock table, and failed updates Identify SAP performance and usage issues Check CPU and memory usage, and response time Archive directory status validation Check free space in a database Clean up transport buffers and spool Check spool requests Run check for TemSe consistency Analyzing Early Watch report Review and validate security audit log Monitoring tablespace growth, free space, and DB growth Evaluate database consistency Cleaning old logs Defragmenting storage memory Checking and evaluating directory structure Monitoring growth of the database System tuning and performance monitoring proficiently.



Archiving backups at the end of the year User security controls Checking locked transactions Archiving old transport files Checking standard scheduled jobs Evaluating SAP profile parameters Checking locked transactions Performing backup and restore tests Maintaining database parameter files Checking user IDs and DDIC Evaluating licensing issues for DB/OS/HW/SAP Checking and managing clients in test, QA, and development systems Check profile parameters in SAP Technical upgrades-SAP upgrades, installations, and maintenance Checking workbench organizer settings Security parameter management Server migration Kernel maintenance - Updating kernel Patch management - Applying system/database/security patches Disaster Recovery/High Availability - create, test, and plan disaster recovery for SAP servers. SAP Solution Manager configuration and utilization Configuration & managing of SAP Routers Extending the support to end-users for troubleshooting SAP tools such as SAP NetWeaver, JAVA system administration, and Coordinating with a programmer for ABAP programming. Closely collaborate with clients 3rd party vendors supporting Infra and other systems connecting to SAP to troubleshoot Manage end-to-end resolution of Major incidents, determine Root Cause, and submitting the detailed report to Management with permanent fix/solution.
