Local Unit & Position Description

We are looking for a Smart Cable Guard (SCG) Operations Engineer to strengthen our team in India. The SCG operations Engineer is the first point of contact during installation and monitoring of the SCG systems. By providing remote and on-site supervision and support during monitoring the SCG Operations Engineer will be key to the further development of our clients in India and improve the reliability of our clients circuits monitored by underground cable network.

Your tasks and responsibilities

As SCG Operations engineer you will play an important role in advising our clients and managing incidents and queries related to the performance of the monitored cables and the Smart Cable Guard systems. You will be providing remote support and on-site support during installation and will be the first line of support when querries arise. You are identifying the systems potential failures and develop troubleshooting reports if necessary. Establish technical project requirements in close corporation with the project manager and the Smart Cable Guard domain experts.

Next to that, you will:

- Supporting clients with the application of SCG in their MV network (be able to explain the technical features)
- Provide remote support and onsite supervision during installation of new SCG systems




- Support clients with resolving issues and incidents of our SCG systems by analyzing the problems and guiding the clients staff
- Implement firmware updates and support 1st line issues
- Train customer staff on the installation and use of Smart Cable Guard
- Work onsite and offsite to troubleshoot and diagnose customer reported issues on the different levels of solutions (i.e. Application, Network, Communication, and Integration Interfaces Levels)
- Provide support to our sales team launching SCG at new customers
- Seek active feedback from clients during the project
- Prepare weekly and monthly customer reports with the status of the monitored circuits
- Provide reports to management on the project progress and incidents of SCG systems
- Come up with ideas for improving efficiency and processes and share them with the development team
- Maintain effective professional relationships with our clients.

Position Qualifications

What we are asking

A team player who beside engineering has excellent communication skills to service our SCG customers around the globe.

And:

- You have successfully finished your technical Bachelor of Engineering
- 3-5 Years of experience in relevant industry.
- Have an understanding and field experience of MV Electrical Grids
- You are willing to travel to customer locations,
- Have valuable analytical skills




- It would be good to have a good understanding of IT platoforms
- Good oral and written communication skills In English; preferred one one other language
- You are pro-active, flexible and handle working under pressure
- You are curious, interested, well organized and engaged
