IT Operations Engineer

Ocean Technologies Group (OTG) is a fast-growing global maritime software organization, and we are recruiting for an experienced IT Operations Engineer, based in India, to help us build and manage our IT Infrastructure and Application landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Principal accountabilities

- Providing technical support
- Troubleshooting software application issues, including C# and SQL code
- Identifying technical problems and deploying software updates and fixes
- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
- Collaborating with the development team to resolve complex issues
- Testing and validating software application updates and patches
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and user manuals
- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support or software development
- Proficiency in C# and SQL programming languages
- Experience with installation, monitoring, troubleshooting and maintaining of .net applications hosted in Windows Servers, IIS and SQL
- Good knowledge of relational databases (SQL)
- Experience using Powershell and C# to automate daily performed maintenance tasks and application deployments.
- Experience with Microsoft.NET technologies (building, deploying, maintaining and monitoring .NET applications)
- Good knowledge of cloud technologies: Azure, AWS
- Experience with monitoring and logging systems (NewRelic, ELK stack)
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall




- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Experience with ticketing systems, such as JIRA or ServiceNow
