Responsibilities:

- Provide IT and business teams with SQL, DB2 and Oracle database support including maintenance for new builds, modifications, monitoring and optimizations
- Design and implement database changes in accordance with teams needs, follow proper change request and approval process
- Assist with defining/updating new users to provide proper data access to schema in a timely manner
- Responsible for all database backups using light speed and tapes
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
- Monitor database performance,



implement changes and apply recent patches and versions when required Support monthly database patch schedule
- support team to make sure all database activities are supported
- Proficient in using database monitoring tools
- Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
- Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
- Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
- PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills
- Familiarity with application and ETL development concept
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of SQL and SQL Server in both server and cloud-based environments
- Able to support AWS database component like RDS and MongoDB
- Agile methodology experience preferred
- Efficient communication skills
- High energy, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Proven analytical, problem-solving
