Job Description : DBA(Database Administrator)with SQL/Postgres experience and has worked on sharding, replicas etcStage 1 : - Technical introduction to your environment and short workshop/discussion to identify and prioritise issues and desired outcomes. - Provide on-call support for Postgres/SQL-related issues.



- Review of AWS configuration for efficiency and cost optimisation - Implementation of Regular Database Housekeeping and Archiving - Review of Security and Auditing - Database Monitoring and Alerting - System architectural reviewStage 2 : - Perform an initial deep dive database assessment and review of AWS configuration.To include : - Backup and Restore Strategies and Requirements (RPO and RTO) and Creation of Non-Production Environments - High Availability and Disaster Recovery Requirements - Review of RDS PostgreSQL extensions - RDS PostgreSQL Compute and Storage - Tuning of RDS PostgreSQL Configuration Parameters - Identification of and Tuning of Long Running Queries - Review of indexing to enhance performance and storage - Use of Connection Pooling Software - Performance analysis of critical stored procedures (ref:hirist.com)
