Bunker Operations Manager
A key driver in Maersk's world-class operations is the well-trained and highly skilled Maersk Bunker Operations (MBO) 24x7 Centre of Excellence located in Mumbai. As a part of this global and dynamic function, you will play a direct role in developing, enhancing and executing the processes necessary to provide the right quantity of Bunkers to Maersk operated vessels at the right place and the right time. We aim to be efficient, sustainable, cost-effective while also being cognizant of safety

Marine Operations Managers are exposed to a plethora of opportunities to develop critical thinking skills, stakeholder management, multi-cultural communication, forward thinking and effective troubleshooting.
You will gain key insights into Maersk's processes from an operational perspective as you will be the key touch point between FMT/MOT/OCL in respect of Bunker supply and optimization.
Key responsibilities
Ensure all Maersk operated vessels have an adequate stock of Bunkers including appropriate Bunker grade to safely and timely reach next bunkering port.

Closely liaise with OCLs to ensure schedule disruptions that impacting bunker consumption are minimized/avoided.

Ensure Bunker saving initiatives are run in close coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Work to reduce any exceptions and ensure that lessons are learned and shared in the team through root cause analysis.

Contribute towards reducing Maersk CO2 emissions in line with company ambitions.
We are looking for

Strong believer in the push for Decarbonization with an insight for future fuels and a penchant for data analytics.

Someone with practical understanding of various marine fuels ideally with a background in the Petro chemical industry.

Experience in testing & analysis of various marine fuels and their influence on Marine Engines will be an added advantage.

Ready to work on a shift wise basis in a 24 x 7 role. Weekends may also be assigned basis planned shifts.
