Position: Database Administrator (SQL Server) ERP & Core Banking Solutions

Location: Noida (Work from Office)

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and working knowledge of PostgreSQL to join our Product Team in Noida. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing, optimizing, and securing mission-critical databases supporting our ERP and next-generation Core Banking Solutions.

The candidate should possess hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, high availability architectures, disaster recovery planning, and production support in enterprise environments. Experience in banking, financial services, or high-volume transaction-processing systems will be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration

- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
- Monitor database availability, performance, health, and capacity utilization.
- Manage database backup, restoration, patch management, and upgrade activities.
- Ensure database environments are stable, secure, and highly available.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to optimize database performance and integrity.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

- Analyze and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Design and maintain efficient indexing strategies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database bottlenecks, deadlocks, locking issues, and performance degradation.
- Perform capacity planning and database growth forecasting.
- Ensure optimal performance of high-volume OLTP systems.

High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Security

- Implement and manage:
- SQL Server Always On Availability Groups
- Database Replication
- Failover Clustering
- Backup & Recovery Strategies
- Disaster Recovery Solutions

- Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage database security,



access controls, authentication, authorization, encryption, and auditing.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.

Product Development & Release Support

- Collaborate closely with Product Development, QA, DevOps, and Application Support teams.
- Participate in database design reviews and schema optimization activities.
- Review and deploy database changes, scripts, and releases.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and database deployment automation processes.
- Assist development teams in troubleshooting database-related application issues.

Production Support

- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production database environments.
- Investigate and resolve critical database incidents within established SLAs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of business-critical applications.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

- 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (SQL Server 2019/2022 and above).
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL administration and maintenance.
- Advanced proficiency in:

Domain Experience

- Experience supporting high-volume OLTP databases and enterprise applications.
- Exposure to ERP, Core Banking,



NBFC, Financial Services, FinTech, or Banking environments preferred.
- Understanding of database security standards, auditing, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with financial transaction systems and mission-critical workloads is an advantage.
