- Lead all mechanical maintenance activities during the assigned shift.
- Attend and rectify mechanical breakdowns with minimum downtime.
- Coordinate with Operations, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams for equipment availability.
- Ensure smooth shift handover and maintain shift logbooks.
2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules as per SAP/CMMS.
- Monitor condition of rotating and static equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify abnormalities.
- Ensure timely lubrication and equipment health monitoring.
- Participate in planned shutdowns and annual maintenance.
- Ensure manpower deployment and contractor supervision.
- Verify completion of maintenance activities before equipment startup.
5. Safety & Compliance
- Follow LOTO procedures.
- Ensure PTW (Permit to Work) compliance.
- Conduct toolbox talks before maintenance activities.
- Ensure PPE compliance.
- Report unsafe conditions and near misses.
6. Spare Management
- Identify critical spare requirements.
- Coordinate with Planning and Stores.
- Verify availability of consumables and maintenance tools.
7. Documentation
- Prepare shift reports.
- Update breakdown reports and maintenance history.
- Record equipment failures and corrective actions.
- Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of recurring failures.
8. Team Management
- Supervise technicians, fitters, welders, and contractors.
- Allocate daily maintenance work.
- Monitor work quality and productivity.
- Train team members on secure maintenance practices.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Implement Kaizen and cost-saving initiatives.
- Improve equipment reliability.
- Reduce MTTR and improve MTBF.
- Support TPM, 5S, and reliability improvement projects.
