This is a Financial Controllership role where the person ensures the company's financial records are accurate, compliant, and ready for reporting.
Unlike Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), or General Accounting, this is a technical accounting and governance role.
The candidate will:
Prepare and review financial statements.
Apply accounting standards like IFRS, US GAAP, and Ind AS.
Review Trial Balance and General Ledger.
Ensure month-end and year-end closing activities are accurate.
Review and approve journal entries.
Strengthen internal financial controls.
Support statutory and internal audits.
Investigate unusual financial movements and accounting issues.
Work closely with auditors, business finance, and global finance teams.
In straightforward terms: The person is responsible for making sure the company's financial numbers are correct, compliant with accounting standards, and free from errors before they are reported.
