Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Manager / Senior Manager to lead our Residue / Trace Laboratory operations at Barasat, Kolkata.

The role involves overseeing laboratory activities, ensuring proper operation and calibration of LCMS and GCMS systems, managing residue analysis processes, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee pesticide residue analysis using GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS.
- Ensure effective implementation of QuEChERS-based sample preparation techniques for multi-residue analysis.
- Drive method development, optimization, and validation as per national and international regulatory guidelines (SANTE, AOAC, ISO 17025).
- Review and approve validation parameters including accuracy, precision, LOQ, linearity, recovery, measurement uncertainty, and robustness.
- Handle internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure accurate analysis of:
- Pesticides
- Antibiotics
- Vitamins




- Melamine
- PFOS / PFAS
- Dioxins & Furans

- Approve Test Reports and ensure technical correctness before release.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system requirements.
- Supervise technical staff, provide training, and ensure competency development.
- Monitor instrument performance, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS systems.
- Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and data integrity.
- Manage Client technical queries and provide regulatory guidance when required.

Eligibility Criteria

- BSc/M.Sc. in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum 1220 years of experience in pesticide residue laboratory.
- Robust expertise in QuEChERS extraction techniques and multi-residue method validation.
- Hands-on experience with GC-MS/MS and LC-MS/MS platforms.
- Sound knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, SANTE guidelines, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Prior experience in handling audits (NABL/APEDA or equivalent) preferred.
