Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe role holder leads User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across multiple concurrent projects and programs. Managing a team of approximately 15 functional and automation testers, this leader guides test management, planning, and execution to maximize overall effectiveness. The role involves analyzing, estimating,

and delivering comprehensive Test Cases and Plans within time constraints while ensuring high-quality test coverage and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the leader will drive continuous improvement across the testing platform by identifying automation opportunities and utilizing modern tools (e.g., Selenium,



Playwright, AI-based tools) to maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate brings extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, testing practices, IT systems, change management, and project management principles, and is expected to manage performance and delivery against project work plans.

Team & Function Leadership

- Manage, mentor, and lead a team of ~15 members, including both functional and automation testers.
- Head the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) function, ensuring the team operates as a Center of Excellence for Insurance products and applications.
- Ensure all system changes across the organization are tested in strict alignment with expected business requirements.

Test Strategy & Planning

- Define the overarching testing approach, outlining the scope, resources, and schedule of intended test activities.
- Identify features to be tested, task allocation, tester independence, test environments, entry/exit criteria, and risk contingency plans.
- Manage the end-to-end Test Plan, including defect management and post-production analysis.

UAT Effort Estimation

- Size & Effort: Accurately estimate the volume of testing required and the associated effort in man-days/hours.
- Cost & Schedule: Calculate testing expenses (including human effort) and define realistic calendar schedules required for comprehensive test cycles.

Test Case Design & UAT Execution

- Guide the team in developing robust test cases aligned with actual business processes and real-world operational conditions (Validation) as well as specifications (Verification).
- Ensure maximum defect identification through complete scenario coverage, including GUI/Web verification, end-to-end functionality (events, transactions, batch processes), error messaging, reports, interfaces (internal/external), and regression testing.





Automation Testing

- Drive the automation strategy to create and maintain robust regression test suites that elevate testing standards.
- Work alongside automation engineers to define processes, provide technical/functional guidance, and ensure coding and development standards are met through team code reviews.
- Promote test automation best practices across the organization, educating management and stakeholders on its benefits.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, tools, and ideas (using risk-driven techniques) to continuously evolve the testing platform.

Stakeholder & Change Management

- Collaborate closely with all Business Stakeholders, Technology teams, and key organizational functions to ensure testing is structured, implementations are smooth, and system deliveries achieve lasting benefits for Customer and Partner experiences.

Key Requirements

Education & Certificates Graduate (Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field).

Key Requirements - Experience & Skills

- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Insurance/BFSI domain, including operational processes, product architectures, and Policy Administration systems.
- Technical Proficiency: Robust technical and business understanding of UAT and automation technologies, specifically in crafting Test Plans, Specifications, and Reports.
- Project Management: Proven project management abilities, with experience working in both Business As Usual (BAU) environments and project-specific task forces. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Exceptional time and people management skills. Capable of acting as a strong leader while remaining a hands-on contributor. Excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
- Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver concise, accurate, and actionable information in both written and verbal formats.
